Finally, a walking-distance CD-R King store!
After years of traveling just to line-up in a very long queue.
Not that I'm a fan or anything, I like that fact that this store provides affordable gadgets and storage media that I can buy.
But anyway, the sales-lady told me that they opened last Saturday (July 12, 2008) in Walter-Mart Makati branch. Few people know it exists so I'm so glad with my first visit. Soon enough it will get long queues. *Sigh*
So on my first visit I bought blank DVD+Rs (I only use DVD+R because of its benefits), a USB SATA adapter, cable straps, and an attachable notebook stand.
Planning to window-shop? Visit this branch on the 3rd floor, between Bayan Telecom and LBC delivery.

Orange Friday!
I'm guilty. Yes I am. :(
I consumed 4 oranges in less than 10 minutes. Would that make me a fruit-criminal?
My motive? I was attracted. After going to the gym with my sister, I overlooked the sumptuously glowing ORANGE by the fridge.
I took one, then another one. Then another. And another... Now look what I've done:

Tada! Look Ma, no pulp!
Enriched with Vitamin C (70 mg), Vitamin A (269 IU), Folate (40 mcg), Vitamin B1 a.k.a. "Thiamine" (1 mg), Pantothenic Acid (.33 mg) and other healthy minerals.
You don't believe me? Then let science prove it to you.
Yum yum! Nothing can beat that. Good thing my mom taught me the importance of oranges. However, it's my own liking to slice it into pieces so I can munch them in-no-time. I'm creating art in the process too :)

Tuesday: Got back home from trivia-madness
Arg.
Sorry about that. It's just my first experience where I needed to provide answer but absolutely was not able give any... In a way, it feels good to know how I can perform without our best-friend (Google) though it's really heart-breaking to deal with (erg, pardon my obsessive-compulsive remarks).
Four (4) hours before coming to this conclusion, I was invited by a special friend to Murphy's Pub in Makati. What we didn't know is that there's a quiz bee to be joined by avid pub goers (in teams of course). It's wild, it's fresh, it's entertaining, and we absolutely lost the winning (Sunday meal is the prize for the winning team). The consequence, free shots for the losing team.

Free Tequilla shots for our team called "Brainiacs"

Nakakahiya talaga! Wala akong nasagot. (It's totally embarrasing. I was not able to answer anything). Why? Well for one thing the questions were all from 19XX (In Tagalog: Nineteen Kopong-kopong). I didn't find anyone my age in there haha.
But anyway, I enjoyed this for the ride. Somehow being utterly clueless and being in good company feels so exciting. You know what? I made new friends in the evening.
Lesson learned: I better review before going back because the team of lawyers might win again.
Hello to my newly found friends and acquaintances. You know who you are! ;)

Tuesday: Rainbow-colored steps spotted at Ayala MRT Station

No. It's not NIPS who made this not-so-technically-helpful innovation "make-over" to the staircase and escalator steps at MRT-Ayala Station. Clue? You know I'd advise you to see it for yourself... but let me fancy your imagination while you try to find your misplaced stored-value-card.
Creatively colorful, let's not under-estimate the effort of the marketing staff behind this agenda.
Here's my list of benefits/or-not-so-much:
Advantage 1 --> It helps distinguish the next step from the rest of the steps.
Advantage 2 --> Color-key refresher to those who forgot their RGB's and CMYK's.
Advantage 3 --> Reduces eye-strain to people with eye-sores.
Disadvantage 1 --> Is not so useful to the color-blind.
Disadvantage 2 --> Did they use rugby on that? Erm.
Disadvantage 3 --> Hmm, it's not backed by the LGBT movement. Am I right?
Whew. I shouldn't have posted this haha.

Walking on Full Business Attire in Cebu
Lola, crossing the street. I offered my help but she told me that she can manage.
I find it amusing that walking in Cebu is very different than that in Makati/Manila.Though the roads are fast-paced, I felt an intriguingly comfortable atmosphere... giving that "oh-so-yummy" to walk all-day factor. Maybe it's the effect of being a stranger in that place. Which reminds me, locals kept on talking to me in Cebuano which I really can't comprehend at the moment, so I memorized this line as tutored by one of the friendly taxi drivers I've met: "Di ko kamao mag-Bisaya" ("I don't speak Bisaya").
Well this explains that coconut smell! Its because of the fumes coming from the San Miguel Plant.
I enjoyed walking so much that I walked all the way from CICC to Ayala Malls! I'm kidding of course. I rode the jeep for PHP8.50 which is another story by the way. When you ride their "multi-cab" jeeps (not the typical Sarao jeep that are common in Manila), you should pay to the conductor before you drop-off. My tip? Don't seat near the driver! Not because he's basagulero or anything, but because the combustion engine is within that part of the multicab. Definitely that part is hot.
Over-all, the experience is all good. I would definitely recommend taking a stroll in Cebu. It's fun, it's entertaining, and it's a wonderful way to exercise ala-Cebuano.
